Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, China, will host the World Taekwondo Championships in 2025.

The World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) announced that Wuxi will host the 2025 World Taekwondo Championships at its Executive Board meeting in Baku, Azerbaijan, on 28 November (local time).

According to the WTF, Wuxi received 14 of the 26 votes cast, beating out Charlotte, North Carolina (USA), Sofia, Bulgaria and Zagreb, Croatia.메이저사이트

This is the third time China has hosted the taekwondo world championships after Hong Kong in 1997 and Beijing in 2007.

In addition, the 2025 Youth Taekwondo World Championships will be hosted by the United Arab Emirates (UAE), which was the sole bidder. This will be the first time the UAE has ever hosted a Youth Taekwondo World Championships.

The WTF Executive Board also approved Namibia from the African continent as the 213th member of the organisation.
