‘Parenting gap’ Kang Kyung-ho returns to the UFC after a year… “More Responsibility”

‘Mr. Perfect’ Kang Kyung-ho, who became a father, returns to the UFC Octagon after a year.

Kang Kyung-ho will face Christian Quinones (27, Mexico) in the bantamweight division at the UFC Fight Night: Vettori vs Cannonier, which will be held at UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA on June 18 (Sunday).

Unexpectedly, the hiatus was prolonged. After defeating Dana Batgarel (33, Mongolia) by unanimous decision at UFC 275 held in Singapore last June, he took a break of 11 months. He could hardly catch the game due to the rejection of the opponent’s offer.

Nicknamed ‘Mr. Perfect’, Kang Kyung-ho, who boasts solid skills in all aspects of hitting and ground, was a burdensome opponent for many bantamweight players.

The fighter who finally accepted the fight with Kang Kyung-ho is the newcomer Mexican Quinones. He is from Dana White’s Contender Series (DWCS) and has one win in the UFC. His career record is 18 wins and 3 losses. He is a boxer-type fighter with strong punching power, with 10 of his 18 wins being KO (TKO) wins.

Although the UFC fighters are the most reluctant unknown strongman, Kang Kyung-ho accepted the offer without hesitation. It’s because he’s been thirsty for a fight over the past year. Kang Kyung-ho said, “He thought he wanted to play soon, so he was just happy to be able to play.”

“Quignones is basically an all-rounder. He is similar to me in that he uses his long height to strike and wrestle actively,” he said, evaluating the opponent and expressing his expectation, “I think it will be a fun match.”

The weapon Kang Kyung-ho prepared this time is a blow. While taking a break from wrestling training, which is his main skill due to a back injury, the blows he honed became his main weapon before he knew it. In the last fight against Bart Garal, the face of the opponent who was hit by the jab throughout the game was a mess.

This comeback is Kang’s first UFC fight as his father. He had a son in September of last year and became his father.

Kang Kyung-ho, who spent his hiatus while raising children, said, “Because he became a father, his sense of responsibility increased. I will definitely win.”

Kang Kyung-ho’s career in mixed martial arts (MMA) is 18 wins, 9 losses and 1 null (UFC, 7 wins, 3 losses, 1 null).

The main event of the day is a match between Marvin Vettori (29, Italy), third in the middleweight rankings, and Jared Cannoneer (39, USA), fourth.

Both players are trying to prove their qualifications to challenge champion Israel Adesanya (33, New Zealand) once again by winning this confrontation.먹튀검증
