NC opened the scoring in the top of the first inning as Seo Ho-cheol singled to left, Park Geon-woo walked and Martin followed with an RBI double. LG fought back, scoring one run in the second inning on Park Hae-min’s single to left and tying the game in the third on Moon Bo-kyung’s RBI double.

NC then completed the big inning in the fourth. Leadoff hitter Kwon Hee-dong blasted a solo arch to left to regain the lead at 3-2, and Do Tae-hoon singled to right and Park Se-hyuk walked to put runners on first and second. Kim Ju-won retired the side with a fly to right, but Do Tae-hoon, who had led off, reached third.

Son As-seop doubled to centre field, allowing Do Tae-hoon to score from third. With runners on second and third, Seo Ho-cheol stole a three-run homer to left field off LG starter Im Chan-kyu. He took a first-pitch slider and lined it into the left field stands. The ball travelled 120 metres.

LG got one more run in the sixth inning on Park Hae-min’s single up the middle with runners on first and third, but couldn’t close the gap any further.

NC starter Peddie earned his ninth win of the season with five innings of five-hit ball, two walks and four strikeouts to move into sole possession of first place in the wins category. Seo Ho-cheol led the offence with two hits and three RBIs, including a home run, while leadoff hitter Son Ah-seop also had two hits, one RBI and one run scored. Kwon Hee-dong also continued his good form with two hits, one RBI and one run scored, including his first home run of the season.

LG starter Lim Chan-kyu, on the other hand, gave up seven runs on seven hits (two home runs) in five innings with three walks and one strikeout. Park Hae-min had two hits and two RBIs, while Moon Bo-kyung and Kim Min-sung also had multi-hit games. However, they were overshadowed by the loss.
