Man Utd lead race to sign Mbappe in Manchester derby?
Will Manchester become the center of world football?
“Manchester United have a chance to sign Kylian Mbappe if they are taken over by Qatar Islamic Bank chairman Sheikh Jassim bin Ahid Al Thani,” British media outlet Metro reported on Thursday (ET).
Mbappe has been linked with a move this summer. His contract expires in the summer of 2024 after he refused to sign a contract extension. Initially, Mbappe’s contract was set to run until 2025, but he opted out of a two-for-one deal and will be a free agent next summer.
Real Madrid are the favorites to sign Mbappe, but Manchester United have entered the picture. United are likely to be bought by a new owner. Sheikh Jassim bin Ahid Al Thani, chairman of Qatar Islamic Bank, is in the running to take over.메이저놀이터
If that happens, United will use Qatar’s wealth of resources to sign Mbappe. The problem, of course, is the transfer fee. Paris Saint-Germain want at least €200 million ($276 million) for Mbappe. That’s a lot of money for a striker with one year left on his contract.
Mbappe was linked with a move to Real after leaving PSG last summer, but he surprised everyone by deciding to stay. Now, Mbappe is looking for a new challenge away from PSG. If Mbappe were to join United, he’d likely form a fierce rivalry with Manchester City’s Elling Holland.
