Korea University swept KU to open the season with a 13-game winning streak.

Korea University won 91-64 against Kookmin University in the 2023 KSUF University Basketball U-League at Hwajung Gymnasium on Friday.

KU, which clinched the regular season title after Yonsei lost to Dankook University on Nov. 13, celebrated the victory by defeating KU on the road. KU is still undefeated after opening the season with 13 straight wins.먹튀검증

Seventh-ranked KU dropped to 6-7 on the season with the loss, falling one game behind eighth-place Myeongji University, Dongguk University, and Kyung Hee University. The eighth-place team qualifies for the KU playoffs.

KU took the lead in the first quarter. From the start of the game, KU’s transition game made it easy to break down KU’s defense. KU, on the other hand, gave up the first eight points of the game and lost the lead. Kim Jun-young and Kim Do-yeon hit three-pointers, but it wasn’t enough. KU widened the gap further with three-pointers from Park Jung-hwan and Moon Jung-hyun, and ended the first quarter with a 29-17 lead.

KU’s lead continued in the second quarter. KU tried to catch up with a three-pointer and pulled within five points midway through the quarter, but KU countered with a rim attack and a steal to close the gap again. The two teams then traded baskets, and the first half ended with KU holding a double-digit lead, 45-33.

The second half was no different.

KU extended its lead to more than 20 points in the third quarter thanks to back-to-back end-to-end plays by Moon Jung-hyun and Park Mubin. KU handed over the offensive reins after a series of mistakes against KU’s pressure defense.

After closing out the third quarter with a 68-44 lead, KU utilized its bench in the fourth quarter to maintain a comfortable lead and close out the game with a win.
