Coach Kim Ho-chul, who was nominated for the men’s indoor event (6-person), was recognized as the best setter of the time while playing for Maxicano Parma (1981-1983), Sisley Treviso (1987-1990), and Schio (1990-1995). He won the league MVP three times (1981‧1983‧1984) in Italy, which was considered the best league at the time. He was also active as a national team member from 1975 to 1986, contributing to the 1978 World Championships 4th place and winning the gold medal at the Asian Games in Bangkok.

After his retirement, coach Kim Ho-cheol went through four Italian teams as a leader, men’s volleyball Hyundai Capital, Dream Six, and the national team command tower. In November of last year, he led the women’s volleyball road and IBK Corporate Bank for the first time.

The final inductees into the Hall of Fame will be selected through a discussion by the official selection committee by selecting the top 6 through a fan vote that will run until the 16th (local time). The final inductee will be announced on the 23rd of next month, and the 2023 induction ceremony will be held at Holyoke on October 21st. An IBK official said, “We ask fans to participate in many votes so that director Kim Ho-cheol can be inducted into the Hall of Fame.”
