‘Joo Sejong Final Four’ Daejeon wins 2-1 away to Gangwon…escape 4G draw + jump to 5th place

Daejeon Hana Citizen broke a four-match winless streak against Gangwon and set the stage for a rebound.

Daejeon Hana Citizen defeated Gangwon FC 2-1 in the 17th round of the Hana OneQ K League 1 2023 at Songam Sports Town in Chuncheon on 7 July. The victory was Daejeon’s first in five games and jumped to fifth place (25 points), while Gangwon remained in 11th place (12 points) after a seven-match winless streak.

The home side started with a 3-4-3 formation. Kim Dae-won, Lee Jeong-hyeop, Gallego, Kim Jin-ho, Seo Min-woo, Han Young, Kang Ji-hoon, Yoon Seok-young, Kim Young-bin, Lim Chang-woo, and Yoo Sang-hoon started.먹튀검증

The away team, Daejeon, also lined up in a 3-4-3 formation. Shin Sang-Tiao Leandro, Seo Young-jae, Kim Young-wook, Joo Se-jong, Oh Jae-seok, Anton, Kim Hyun-woo, Kim Min-duk and Lee Chang-geun were the first to hit the turf.

Daejeon took the early lead. On a counter-attack opportunity in the 27th minute, Leandro sprinted to the edge of the box and sent a low cross to the other side. Thiago, who was rushing forward, slotted it home for the first goal.

Kangwon fought back. In the 43rd minute, the South Korean outpaced the defence and unleashed a powerful left-footed mid-range shot. However, the ball went straight at goalkeeper Lee Chang-geun and was blocked.

Kangwon made a change at the start of the second half. Choi Yong-soo brought off Kang Ji-hoon, Lee Jung-hyeop and Gallego and brought on Park Sang-hyuk, Yang Hyun-joon and Jung Seung-yong at once. Daejeon brought on Kim In-gyun for Shin Sang-eun.

Kang Won scored a lucky equaliser. In the third minute of the second half, Kim In-gyun’s poor clearance in the box fell to Park Sang-hyuk, whose shot deflected off the defence and into the net.

Once again, Daejeon’s counter-attack came to the fore. In the 15th minute, Leandro sprinted down the right flank and sent a cross into the box. A diving Joo Sae-jong headed it home to rattle the net.

Gangwon pushed hard for the three points, but to no avail. Kim Jin-ho’s shot from inside the box in the 18th minute was saved by the goalkeeper, and Kim Dae-woo’s shot in the 31st minute found the side netting. In the end, it was a 2-1 victory for Daejeon.
