It was a no-hitter pitching until the 6th inning. However, he hit a home run in the 7th inning and broke his record, becoming the losing pitcher. 

Arizona Diamondbacks’ Merrill Kelly failed again in her first win of the season. Kelly took the mound as a starting pitcher in a game against the Milwaukee Brewers held at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona on the 12th (Korean time). 

Kelly, who continued to be a no-hitter by allowing only two walks and one four-ball through the 6th inning, collapsed after being hit by a home run in the 7th inning. He became the losing pitcher with 1 hit, 4 walks, 1 walk and 3 runs in 6 innings. The season record was 2 losses and an average ERA of 4.11.

However, in the 7th inning, Adames, the leading hitter, hit a solo home run that went over the fence in the middle as the 91.6 mph sinker on the 2nd pitch from the 1st strike was driven to the center. The no-hitter was broken and even conceded. After allowing a home run, Kelly walked Telles and allowed consecutive walks to Anderson. In the end, he was replaced with relief pitcher Miguel Castro at 1st and 2nd base.  

Castro got a hit, which worsened to the bases loaded crisis, and allowed a push walk. With the first out loaded, the runner on third scored on a grounder from the first baseman, and Kelly’s run scored 3 runs. Milwaukee ran away 5-0 with Brosso hitting a double with two RBIs from 2nd, 2nd and 3rd base. Added 1 point each in the 8th and 9th innings.
