Huroue vs Maguire-Grant vs Annan… LPGA Match Play quarter-finals confirmed
The quarter-finals of the Bank of Hope Match Play ($1.5 million in prize money) on the Women’s Professional Golf (LPGA) Tour have been confirmed.
Ayaka Furue (JPN) held a two-shot lead over Celine Boutier (FRA) going into the 17th hole of the quarter-final at Shadow Creek Golf Club (Par 72) in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, on 28 September.
Hurue also reached the final last year, finishing as runner-up to Ji Hee Lee.
Furue will be looking to make it two wins in a row on the LPGA Tour, having claimed her first victory at the Women’s Scottish Open in July last year.먹튀검증
Her semi-final opponent will be Riona Maguire (IRE).
Maguire defeated Lindsey Weaver Wright (USA) by three holes in the quarter-finals. She will be looking for her second LPGA Tour victory.
The other semi-final pits Lynn Grant (SWE) against Pajari Annanarukarn (THA).
Grant will be looking for her first LPGA Tour victory, while Annanarukarn will be looking for her second career win.
Meanwhile, all of the South Korean players in the tournament were knocked out in the group stages, including defending champion Ji Hee Lee.
