Dedicated to surgery and rehabilitation… The eldest member of the JJJ trio “I hope it gets better day by day”
“I hope it gets better day by day.”
Jang Hyun-sik (28), the eldest member of the “JJJ Trio,” the core of the KIA Tigers bullpen, revealed his inner thoughts during his rehabilitation period.
Jang Hyun-shik, along with his juniors Jeon Sang-hyun (27) and Jung Hae-young (22), are in charge of the winning team. In 2021, his second season after moving to KIA, he reached his peak as a bullpen pitcher by becoming the hold king with 34 holds. Last year, he drew attention by recording 19 holds.
Jang Hyun-sik suffered from frequent injuries last season. After the season, he underwent bone fragmentation and osteophyte removal in his right elbow. His rehabilitation period is expected to be 3-4 months, and all focus is on making his body perfect during spring camp.
KIA is also sparing no support for Jang Hyun-sik. He is not sent to the rehabilitation group, but is included in the roster of the 1st team spring camp held in Okinawa, Japan, so that he can rehabilitate as smoothly as possible in a warm place.
Jang Hyun-shik also expressed his gratitude for the consideration of the club and KIA coach Kim Jong-guk. After returning from spring camp on the 9th, he met with reporters and said, “It’s really warm. I used my time well,” he said. 바카라
Rehabilitation is progressing smoothly. Now I’ve come to the stage where I can throw the ball hard. I’m leaving you with a few tweaks to get the perfect finish. “I think I’ve come to the level where I can throw strongly. There are still some things left, so I think I’ll have to finish well and come back,” he explained.
This is Jang Hyun-sik’s first surgery. Even relatively simple bone fragment removal surgery can be somewhat burdensome for an athlete. However, Hyunsik Jang said that he had been planning ahead and was able to focus on rehabilitation immediately because his mind was ready. “(Surgery) was planned from before, so I was mentally prepared. Depending on how much time and effort I put into rehabilitation, the time to return will be different. I focused on that point and went through rehabilitation.”
An exact return date has not been set. Jang Hyun-sik expressed his earnest desire for his return, saying he wanted to return to the mound as soon as possible. “I don’t know (when to return). I hope it gets better day by day. If my arm adapts quickly (to pitching), I think it will come back quickly,” he said. I will be able to do it,” he said.
