‘Complacent’ Bonehead Baekho Kang “apologizes, deserves to be criticized” for his sincerity
Kang Baek-ho apologized for his play.
“I would like to apologize for this controversy,” he said on his personal social media account on the 23rd, adding, “It was a play that deserved to be criticized by many people.”
Earlier, Kang Baek-ho made a complacent boneheaded play against the LG Twins on April 18.
With the bases loaded in the bottom of the fifth inning with KT leading 3-2 after Kim Hyun-soo’s single to right, he threw an “arirang songu” that allowed Park Hae-min, who was on first base at the time, to sprint home from third base.메이저놀이터
Coincidentally, KT gave up five more runs in the big inning and ended up losing 5-9. Kang Baek-ho’s performance was disappointing.
Baek-ho Kang’s disappointing play started at the Tokyo Olympics. In the top of the eighth inning of a losing effort against the Dominican Republic at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, he was caught on camera leaning against the dugout fence and chewing gum while watching the game, angering many baseball fans.
He was also labeled as a “mistake-prone” player in the 2023 World Baseball Classic (WBC) against Australia, when he made a ridiculous running play that resulted in him being thrown out at the plate while performing a ceremony after hitting a double.
This is the first time an athlete has ever apologized for his play. In fact, it’s not uncommon for athletes to make mistakes while playing.
However, Kang Baek-ho’s outrageous behavior has left a lot of regrets, and this apology will hopefully serve to silence his mistakes to some extent.
Here is the full text of his apology
Hello, everyone. This is KT WIZ’s Kang Baek-ho.
First of all, I would like to apologize for this controversy. I think that I deserved to receive a lot of criticism from many people. I think it was definitely my fault, and I know that many of you had a lot of expectations and support for this season, and I thought it was a season that I prepared really hard to live up to it, but I apologize again for the disappointment and hurt that I caused to many people with my poor performance and such a complacent play.
There are still many games to come, and I will work hard to help not only myself but also the team rebound, and I know that not everyone will be satisfied with my play, but I will try to be a satisfactory player that the fans who support me can be proud to see, and I thank you very much for your support.
