Asian Pacific Cup, women’s national competition, to be held in Indonesia in December

The Simone Asia Pacific Cup, a women’s national competition in the Asia Pacific region, will be held in Indonesia at the end of December.

The Asian Golf Leaders Forum (AGLF), 메이저놀이터 which hosts the tournament, announced on the 2nd that this year’s Simone Asia Pacific Cup will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia for three days from December 22nd.

The Simone Asia Pacific Cup held its first tournament in August last year at the Pondok Indah Golf Club in Jakarta, Indonesia. Korean New Zealander Lydia Ko, currently world number 1, Hyo-Joo Kim, So-Yeon Ryu, Bo-Mi Lee from Korea, and Hinako Shibuno from Japan participated. Ryu So-yeon and Lee Bo-mi won the team event, while Princess Mary Superior of the Philippines unexpectedly won the individual event.

The Simone Asia-Pacific Cup is an event competition in the nature of a national competition newly established last year to develop women’s golf in the Asia-Pacific region, and the individual competition will be held in 54-hole stroke play. The scores of the players from each participating country are added together to determine the team ranking.
